Allegedly, one of her neighbor and his accomplices set the victim’s house on fire over a dispute between the families. Police has detained the accused under suspicion and is interrogating them.
As per Police, the deceased woman who was identified as Jagudi Bai (90) resident of Kali Pool Village, Salmbar was sleeping in her home when the accused allegedly set her house on fire. Other relatives of the deceased woman were also asleep in other part of the house but were not able to save her in the sudden mishap.
Victim’s son Bhera Meena has alleged quoted that his neighbor Manna Meena and his accomplices of setting his house on fire. Upon getting information, Salumbar police rushed to the scene and attempted to control the fire along with assistance of the villagers.
A case has been registered against the accused and investigation has been intiated. In the initial investigation of the matter police found that accused Manna and Bhera Meena were having a prolonged dispute with each other since last year.
Today morning senior police officials including S.P Ajaypal Lamba, Additional Sps, Dysps with extra police force also rushed to the scene for its verification. Soon a team of forensic science laboratory was also called on the scene to gather the clues and samples from the spot, SHO informed.
Police is also probing the matter keeping in view that when all relatives of the old woman were present on the scene, then why they were not able to save her or put the fire off. Besides this Manna Meena is also rounded up by the cops for interrogation, as informed by the SHO.
