Woman duped by fake bank employee
A woman has lodged complaint of fraud at Hiran Magri Police Station. The victim was duped by an unidentified caller who withdrew an amount of Rs. 17,975 from her bank account.
A woman has lodged complaint of fraud at Hiran Magri Police Station. The victim was duped by an unidentified caller who withdrew an amount of Rs. 17,975 from her bank account.
Victim Nandeshwari Devi informed the police that she received a call on 4th Sept. from the accused pretending to be an employee of her bank’s ATM Office.
The accused informed her, that her ATM card is blocked and for unblocking it, she has to give her complete banking details including PIN numbers. After few minutes of the conversation, she received a text on her mobile that an amount of cash has been withdrawn from her bank account.
After receiving the text, she came to know about the fraud and then rushed to police station to lodge the complaint. Police is investigating the case based on the number used by the accused.
