A Lemonade stall owner has been booked under charges of stabbing his own wife today.

According to police, the accused attacked his wife with a sharp knife, and stabbed her, due to which she sustained severe injuries.

Police records say that the 35 year old victim, resident of Pratap Nagar Housing Board Colony got into an argument today with her husband.

Subsequently the argument turned ugly with the husband stabbing her multiple times and then running away from the scene.

The accused’s sister came rushed into the house on hearing the victims scream and found her covered in blood. In the meantime, the victim’s sister, who also stays in a nearby house hear the commotion and reached the spot. The lady was immediately taken to MB Hospital. She has been taken into Intensive care as she has multiple injuries, especially one near the heart.

As informed by the victim’s sister, the couple is married since the past 20 years, and her sister is being tortured from the very first year. The couple has two kids.

The accused runs a lemonade stall at Surajpol Chauraha opposite the Police Control Room.

DYSP Goverdhan Lal Khatik informed that, the stall where the man runs his setup was found closed when the police raided the area. The efforts to hunt him down are still on and he is expected to be caught soon.
