Panic spread at Bhinder on Saturday morning when the villagers of the area got annoyed and started pelting stones after the dead body of a 33 year old woman was found inside a well at Chol village of the area.

The villagers caught a trio of Kalbelias including a girl and tied them with a tree to burn them alive with the dead body of the victim woman believing them to be the suspects of her murder. After efforts of more than 3 hours, the suspects were safely rescued by the police from the scene and taken to Bhinder Police Station and the dead body was shifted to mortuary.

The scene occurred on Saturdy morning here at Chol village situated near Chuahano Ka Guda area of Bhinder when the passerby spotted women’s feet lying in a farm wrapped in a cloth. Soon the information spread in the whole area like fire and around 2000 villagers gathered at the spot. Few minutes later the rest of the victim’s dead body was found in a well situated in the same area.

This annoyed the villagers who caught hold of three Kalbelia accusing them of the murder and tried to take law in their own hands with an intention to burn them alive, tied them up on a tree along with the dead body, informed SHO Bhinder & Vallabhnagar police station Himanshu Singh & Mukesh Kumar.

Both the SHOs visited the crime scene for the verification however, during the conversation with the locals, the agitated villagers started pelting stones at them. Soon senior police officials including SP Rajendra Prasad Goyal and Ad SPs, Dy SP and SHOs of various police stations rushed to control the situation, said S.P Rajendra Prasad Goyal.
