Activists of Mahila Atyachar Virodhi Manch staged protest outside collectorate today and demanded support for the girl who was allegedly abducted, raped and thrown in front of a moving train in which she lost both her legs.
The heinous incident occurred on 16 Sept at Fatehpura, Kapasan under Chittorgarh District. Two people Narvar Singh and Kamal Singh are arrested for the crime and a police officer of Kapasan is suspended.
Activists said that even after the arrest of both accused, the victim is continuously subjected to threat and also been forced to take the case back.
‘We want the First Information Report to be lodged correctly. Investigation officer should be changed and ensure security for the victim and her family’ said the letter given to I.G Udaipur Range.
Another memorandum given to an administrative officer demanded compensation including medical assistance, government job to her or any of her family members. Since the victim has lost both her legs, government should help her under any beneficiary program for disabled.
