CBSE postpones March 2 exam in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE due to Iran–Israel tensions; rescheduled dates to be announced later

 March 2, 2026 - Amid the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed the examination scheduled for Monday (March 2) in the Gulf countries of Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

CBSE Examination Controller Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj shared this information and said that the Board will assess the situation on March 3 and then take a decision regarding the examination scheduled for March 5 in the CBSE-affliliated schools in the region.

New exam dates for the cancelled exam will also be announced after review of the situation. No specific timeline has been given for when it will be rescheduled.

The circular by the CBSE was marked to Indian ambassadors across all seven affected countries, the Consul General of India in Dubai and CBSE’s regional office in the UAE.
