CBSE to Review Middle East Class 12 Exam Schedule on March 14
CBSE Class 12 Board exams until March 16 have been postponed in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE owing to the Iran-Israel conflict; exams in India to continue as scheduled
March 14, 2026 - The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to review the situation in the Middle East on Saturday (March 14) and take appropriate decisions with regard to all remaining examinations schedule for Class 12 from March 16 onwards, according to a circular on the CBSE website issued by Controller of Examinations Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj.
Earlier, CBSE had postponed Class 12 examinations scheduled from March 12 to March 16 in several Gulf countries, including Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This decision was taken after a critical review of the current uncertainties in the region and mental agony of the students, as per the Board.
All students have been advised to stay in touch with their schools for updates.
However, in India, the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations are continuing to be held as per the existing timetable in CBSE-affiliated schools across the country.
