Computer Science an Optional Subject in 591 Govt. Schools

Udaipur, April 25, 2025 - Efforts are being made in Rajasthan to align and modernise the educational system to better prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. This includes integrating contemporary subjects, embracing digital learning tools and reshaping curricula to equip students with critical thinking, technological literacy and problem-solving skills that are essential in an increasingly digital and interconnected world.

In line with this requirement, Rajasthan government has introduced Computer Science as an optional subject in some of its schools in the State. Orders have been issued by Director of Secondary Education Sitaram Jat to roll out Computer Science in 591 schools across the State. For this purpose, computer instructors have been appointed in the schools.
