Focus on Teaching Students in Mother Tongue

Under this initiative, the Director of Elementary Education has issued a NOC to start NTT courses in DIETs in every State district; 34 training institutes included

Udaipur, May 5, 2025 - Under the New Education Policy (NEP), the government is working to develop a new generation of teachers to educate students in their mother tongue. To achieve this, the Director of Elementary Education has issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to start Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) courses in District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) operating in every district of Rajasthan. Administrative approval for this has also been granted.

A total of 34 training institutes across the State are included under this initiative. Each DIET will have 50 seats for the Nursery Teacher Training course. Currently, this course is also referred to as the Diploma in Pre-School Education.

DIETs are functional in every district. They provide training to teachers who teach students from Grades 1 to 5. Each DIET has a different number of seats for training. Teachers trained here fall under the L-1 category. DIETs also conduct various training programmes for other categories of teachers.

  • Ajmer (Masuda)
  • Pali (Bagrinagar)
  • Bhilwara (Shahpura)
  • Banswara (Garhi)
  • Dausa (Baswa)
  • Dungarpur (Rambola Math)
  • Jaipur (Goner)
  • Jhalawar (Jhalarapatan)
  • Jodhpur (Vidyashala)
  • Nagaur (Kuchaman City)
  • Rajsamand (Nathdwara)
  • Sri Ganganagar (Chunawadh)
  • Tonk, Baran, Barmer, Bharatpur, Alwar, Bikaner, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Churu, Dholpur, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Kota, Pratapgarh, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Gogelav.
