NTA has announced revised JEE Main 2026 dates; Session 1 will be held from Jan 21 to 29, 2026, and Session 2 from April 2 to 9; exam city slips released
Udaipur, Jan 9, 2026 - The National Testing Agency (NTA), New Delhi, has announced the revised examination dates for JEE Main 2026. Session 1 will now be held from January 21 to January 29, 2026. Session 2 will be held between April 2 and April 9, 2026.
For the clarity of students on updated dates and schedule, the Advance Intimation of Examination City has also been released in which the exam date and city are allotted to the registered candidates. According to the notification, students are advised to download and carefully verify their Examination City Information Slip. In case of any discrepancy, they should immediately contact NTA via email at jeemain@nta.ac.in.
JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam will be held on January 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28 for BE/BTech candidates, and the Paper 2 exam will be held on January 29 for BArch/BPlan students. The BE/BTech exams will be held in two shifts every day - 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, and then from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The Paper 2 (A&B) exam will be held in one shift only - 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.
Students are instructed to thoroughly read the details mentioned on the slip and follow all necessary guidelines. They can download the Admit Cards from the NTA website 3-4 days before the date of the examination. Exam shift will be allotted via the Admit Card.
