Udaipur, Oct 25, 2025 - The State government’s Ladli Incentive Scheme will no longer be limited to students of government schools. Girls studying in recognised private schools will also be eligible for the scheme. For this, a district-level orientation workshop will be organised under the joint aegis of the Women Empowerment, Medical and Health, and School Education Departments.

Under this scheme, girls whose birth took place in a government or government-approved medical institution are provided financial assistance of Rs 1.5 lakh, which is deposited directly into their bank account in seven installments.

Since the academic year 2014-15, this benefit was provided to girls in both government and private schools, but the scheme’s progress did not reach the expected level. Therefore, a workshop is being organised at all levels to clarify the workflow and accelerate the process.

This orientation workshop will be conducted in the first and second week of November. It will include all nodal officers of government and recognised private schools in the district, as well as representatives from the PEEO, UCEEO and CBEEO offices.

Participants in the workshop will be given detailed guidance on filling applications, uploading documents, locking applications and the payment process according to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of the Ladli Incentive Scheme. The entire process will be carried out on the Shala Darpan portal.
