NEET Exam Gets Stricter: AI Cameras, Digital Frisking, Dress Code
NTA introduces strict NEET exam guidelines with AI cameras, biometric checks, GPS tracking and dress code rules to prevent cheating and paper leaks
April 25, 2026 - The NEET UG 2026 examination will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Admit Card for the exam will be issued on Sunday, April 26.
Authorities have taken strict measures to prevent any kind of malpractice during the examin under the guidelines issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The NTA, which conducts this exam, has made high-tech arrangements.
Monitoring Through AI
This time, regular cameras will not be used at exam centres. Instead, AI cameras will monitor students. These cameras will track students' behaviour and suspicious activities. If anything seems out of the ordinary, the control room will be alerted. If a student repeatedly turns back or makes gestures, the AI will detect it.
Digital Frisking
At the entry gate of the exam centre, digital frisking will be conducted instead of checking with metal detectors. Students’ real-time biometric data will be matched with their Aadhaar card to stop solver gangs or fake candidates at the gate itself.
Digital Tracking
NTA has used GPS and digital locks for question paper boxes. These will open only at designated locations using a digital key, reducing the risk of paper leaks.
No Shoes
Students wearing shoes will have to remove them outside the exam centre. Only slippers with thin soles will be allowed. Shoes have been banned because of the possibility of hiding devices inside them.
Compulsory Half Sleeves
Whether male or female, both must wear half-sleeve clothing. Entry will not be allowed in full sleeves. The aim is to prevent devices or chits being hidden within sleeves.
