Rajsamand Tops State School Ranking; Udaipur Slips to 27th
Udaipur’s school ranking has continued to fall, dropping from 13th to 27th place in 2025
Udaipur, Nov 29, 2025 - In the recently released ranking by the Rajasthan Council of School Education, Rajsamand district has secured the top position. Previously, Sikar held the top position, but it has now slipped to second place.
Udaipur ranking has slipped down five spots being placed at 27 out of 41 districts. Its earlier ranking was 22. In fact, in February 2025, Udaipur was ranked 13th.
In the ranking parameters, Udaipur’s staff attendance updation stands at 86.23% while student attendance updation is 72.65%. In comparison, Rajsamand has reported 96.16% and 75.63% respectively.
According to people in the know of the subject, the continuous decline in Udaipur’s ranking is owing to delays in updating information on time and the additional responsibilities assigned to teachers.
The ranking is based on the data uploaded on the Shala Darpan portal which includes staff and student attendance, implementation of schemes and operation of ICT labs.
Teachers are required to update daily teaching activities, PTM attendance of parents, information on books, playground details and other important data. These parameters help in assessing the arrangements made for students’ learning, development and the effective implementation of various educational schemes.
