Female students of Rajasthan College of Agriculture (RCA) sat on Dharna on Tuesday outside the college premises. The protest was against poor quality of food served in college’s canteen. Some students even alleged of being served contaminated food.

Rahul Lega, president of Student Union informed, “There are around 170 girls staying in college hostel and paying Rs.1250 as monthly fees for canteen. The students decided to protest today after their complaints were ignored by college administration in past.”

The infuriated students are boycotting food from last two days. The students alleged that the college has assigned contract of canteen to one person since 12 years and demanded to issue new tender.

Dean of the Agriculture College, S.R Malu reached on the spot and assured for positive action. The dean appealed the students to end the protest.
