A number of students of junior and senior girls hostel of Ravindra Nath Tagore Medical college of Udaipur demonstrated protest outside the principal’s office over the issue of non availability of water in the water tanks of their hostels. They also warned the administration that they will continue the protest till they are provided hygienic water to drink and for other uses.

Pooja Tejwani one of the students of the college informed that around 500 girls of junior and senior girls hostel of the medical college were facing the scarcity of water in the hostels from last 2 days and today, on Tuesday the conditions got intolerable. All the suffering students came on the roads and started protesting outside the administrative office of the medical college.

Tejwani also claimed that though they are studying at one of the city’s renowned medical college but they are living in infrastructural facilities worse then that of Mumbai’s ‘Chaul’.

Regarding the prolonged problem of scarce water at the hostel, the students had a discussion for a number of time but no major decision was yet taken in that concern, blamed Student Vatsala Yagini.

Talking about the issue Dr. D.P Singh Superintendent of M.B Hospital said that the problem of the student will be soon solved as the valve of the water tank has been repaired and other repairing work will be done soon. Beside this, pumping motor will also be soon installed at the tank.
