Scientists talk on Venus transit
On the second day of the National Orientation Workshop on Transit of Venus, two of the participating Astronomy scientists, Dr. Deepak Gupta and Dr. Deepak Tatpuje provided an understanding on the collection of astronomical data and its analysis in the day time. They also informed about the measurement of the diameter and distances in the Nano Solar System.

They also explained the height measurement of stars at any angle with the help of an instrument and also the formation of images in a dark room with the help of Ball and Mirror projectors.
Later during the workshop, Dr. Arvind Paranjape explained the concept of Planet Transit and its effects. This was done with the help of a 6 inch Telescope where the planets Mars and Venus were observed.
All the participants at the Workshop were given a Venus Transit Kit and books, along with 50mm Reflector Telescope.
