March 14, 2026 - State Education Director Sitaram Jat has issued strict instructions that that no officer or employee in the department should leave their seat or premise without valid reason. Disciplinary action will be taken against anyone found absent from their seat or roaming around during office hours.

The Education Directors has mandated all employees to reach the office on time, sign the attendance register and remain available at their designated seats at all times. The lunch break will also remain limited to the prescribed 30 minutes only. Employees who remain absent without prior information or leave the headquarters without approved leave will face departmental action, the order warned.

This order has come on the back of regular complaints regarding teachers and other visitors to the Education Department offices who face significant inconvenience because staff members are often not present at their designated seats. Teachers and employees coming from other districts have to wander around the office premises searching for the concerned staff member of the respective section.
