Members of Akhil Bhartiya Vidharthi Parishad (ABVP) Udaipur protested outside the Administrative office of Mohan Lal Sukhadia University on Wednesday and demanded the University administration to lodge a police complaint against the University President and other student leaders for getting physical with the Vice Chancellor and destroying office property.

On Wednesday morning, dozens of students and members of ABVP gathered outside the Administrative block of MLSU and staged a protest demanding strict legal action against the President of Student Union of the University, Himanshu Choudhary and his supporters as a day ago they had argued with the Vice Chancellor I.V Trivedi and entered into a physical altercation with him.

Devendra Singh Chundawat, one of the prominent members of ABVP Udaipur said that the protesting students and members presented a memorandum under ABVP to the V.C demanding that an FIR be lodged against the University President and also demanded to take action against one of the Professor of the University for supporting the President and his unwarranted activities.

In their memorandum they have highlighted that by destroying the furniture of V.C’s office, Himanshu and his supporters had caused damage to Government property, which is a punishable offence.

Devendra further claimed that if soon no strict action is taken against the offenders or their demands are not fulfilled then ABVP will call for close of University for a day and will also resort to fasting and for all this the University administration will be held responsible.

Earlier, on Tuesday morning few unsatisfied students along with the University President Himanshu Choudhary went to Vice Chancellor’s office following the discrepancies in their examination results.

Suddenly the scene turned violent and Himanshu and Kuldeep Singh got into an altercation with the Vice Chancellor.  In anger, they damaged the glass of the VC’s table and his furniture.  A team from the Police Department rushed to the scene and detained Himanshu and Kuldeep under 151 CRPC and took them to the Pratap Nagar Police station.
