Caught Again? Coldplay's Fun Warning About Cameras at Concert

Coldplay's Chris Martin’s joke referencing the infamous kiss clip at Camp Randall Stadium is winning the internet

July 21, 2025 - Coldplay's recent concert has been in the news a lot. During the band's earlier Camp Randall show, Astronomer’s married CEO Andy Byron was caught on camera sharing a romantic moment with co-worker Kristin Cabot, who is the company’s HR head. The clip went viral, and Andy later resigned from his position.

Now, Coldplay's Chris Martin has taken a dig at the incident again during a recent concert.

Coldplay returned to the stage after the cheating scandal, and this time, Chris tried to lighten the mood. At Coldplay's recent concert in Madison, Wisconsin, he gave a fun warning to the audience, referring to the previous kiss scandal. His video is now going viral on social media.

He referred to the old viral clip without directly naming it. In the clip, Chris said, "We want to say hello to some of you in the crowd. We will do this in such a way that we will use our cameras to show some of you on the screen. So if you haven’t done makeup yet, do it now."

This was clearly a light-hearted comment, but many saw it as a dig at the viral Coldplay cheating scandal from their last concert.

A user who shared the video wrote, "Chris Martin has warned that some people are going to be brought on the screen."

Fans quickly reacted in the comments section.

One user said, "Fair warning."

Another wrote, "Better act normal."

One user added, "Some people really need a reminder."

Another commented, "Chris will now have to give this warning at every concert."
