Monday, the first day of the month-November 2015 became a golden date in the history of St. Paul's Senior Secondary School, Udaipur, as the students of 1967 batch had a memorable reunion meet in the school premises.

Monday, the first day of the month-November 2015 became a golden date in the history of St. Paul’s Senior Secondary School, Udaipur, as the students of 1967 batch had a memorable reunion meet in the school premises.

As the St. Paul’s School, Udaipur was founded in the year 1953, so the 1967 batch students were amongst the first few passouts of the school. The 1967 batch comprised of 12 students namely – Abhay Lodha, Amrit Manwani, Lalit Bapna, Pradeep Kothari, Pratap Singh Talesara, Puneet Gangal, Rajan Jaisinghani, Rajendra Sunderesan, Rakesh Kacker, Somnath Chatterji, Udayan Mitter and Udayan Mukerji.

Out of this batch, the school has dedicated two fighter pilots to the Indian Air Force, a Brigadier and a Colonel to the Indian Armed Forces, a Dy. General to Indian Police Services and Income Tax Commissioner to the Indian Revenue Services, a Head to Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals Ltd. and an industrialist (Wolkem India Ltd.) to the Indian Nation.

“The occasion of the Reunion of St. Paul’s 1967 batch students brought peers together to seek blessings of each other, the teachers and the Principal of St. Paul’s School once again to lead an ethical life. Ethics and self discipline, we imbibed in the school from our great teachers, have been pillars of strength,” said one of the alumni.

The Manager of Udaipur Diocese – Rev. Fr. Marcel Dodiyar and The Principal Rev. Fr. George V.J. welcomed the students, alongside their spouses and felicitated them with garlands and souvenirs. Each Ex-Paulian addressed the students and expressed heart-filled gratitude to the school, teachers and Late Rev. Fr. Avito Coutinho, who was their Principal, during their student life.
