The Battle Axe Division of the Indian Army having fought on the borders organized a Motorcycle Rally Desert Safari-2015 that commenced from Udaipur at 9 AM from the Army Area that will traverse through villages covering 1600 Km.

Udaipur office of India Army informed that more than 28 riders including officers, junior commission will travel from Udaipur via Pokharan, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer to border areas motivating youth to join the army.  The schools along the way will witness the riders imparting information to the students about the opportunities in army.

Other serious social issues such as female feticide and Swach Bharat-Swach Samaj are also the highlights of the rally. The main objective of the rally is to meet former soldiers living near the border areas, motivate youth to join army, spread social message to save girl child, women empowerment and spreading the patriotism among people.

The journey will conclude in Jodhpur on 16^th February.
