The Ex Chief Minister of the state Ashok Gehlot said “I would have been a magician if I had never entered politics. I always loved social work and learning magic tricks. In future II might not get a chance to become a magician, but magic is still in my soul.” Ex-CM Ashok Gehlot addressed the gathering at the inauguration of the National Summit of Country’s magicians “Ajooba-2015.”

On the occasion Gehlot gave a unique start to the summit by popping up a bunch of flowers from a narrow pipe. He was there with a magician’s turban on his head and he amazed the crowed by displaying his magic trick.

Gehlot also said that his father Babu Laxman Singh Daksh was a famous magician and he used to travel at various countries to give performances. In his childhood days Ashok too went with his father as an assistant and used to admire his father when he performed the tricks.

Gehlot further added that magic is such an art that can be enjoyed by a family together. It can amaze an elderly man and a kid too, but some misconceptions sticks when few fraudulent people starts cheating people by showing basic magic tricks in the name of Tantra Vidhya. People should stay away from such people.

Former Union Minister Girija Vyas also joined Gehlot in the occasion whereas the Vice Chancellor of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology, Registrar of Mohan Lal Sukhadia University R.P Sharma was the guest of honor in the program.

Famous magicians of India, Anand, Rajkumar, K. Lal Junior, Prahlad Rai and Mahesh Singhvi welcomed Gehlot by presenting him the colorful turban and shawl.

While addressing the crowed the magician Anand and Rajkumar has shared their pain by expressing that they were never recognized either by the State or the Central Government. They also informed that Magic is an art and not a circus but still it was not included in any art form by the government and is on the edge of extinction.

The magicians further said that magicians’ community has always come forward to organize charity shows to collect money for victims of any natural calamity whenever required. But many magicians passed away without being helped during their days of downfall.
