Annual blood donation camp was organized today by Bohra Youth Medical Relief Society to mark the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

In all 172 units of blood were donated by the volunteers and community members today at Bohra Youth Dispensary, Boharwadi. The camp was started early morning and continued till late in the evening. MB Hospital and Saral Blood Bank partnered the event, which was supported by HDFC Bank.

Anees Miyaji, President of Bohra Youth Medical Relief Society informed that every year on the 6^th day of the month of Moharram they organize the blood donation camp to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain. He also said that a majority of women donors was the highlight of the day.

Udaipur Municipal Corporation Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari also visited the camp and praised the contribution of the Medical society. Local area Corporator Rehana Germanwala also accompanied them. President of Bohra Youth Sansthaan Dr Zenab Banu and Secretary Ismail Ali Durga were also present at the venue and presented Appreciation Certificates to donors.
