One of the Jewelers informed that the yagya was conducted under the directions of Inder Singh Mehta, President of the association. “We did Sadbudhi Yagya and prayed to God to give wisdom to the Finance Minister so that he revokes the increased excise duty which was introduced in this year’s budget”, he said.

At the end of the event, Inder Singh Mehta announced that taking into account the fact that there has been no positive action taken by the Finance Minister, the Association will call for a state-wide strike in which all institutions except for educational institutes, railways, public transport and hospitals will be remain open.
