Holding earthen pots attached with bamboo sticks, men and women devotees enthusiastically took part in the 25km journey by foot, for their devotion.
Calling themselves devotees of Lord Shiva, the devotees first prayed at Gangu Kund and filled the pot with the holy water.
Subsequently they started their journey by chanting hymns and slogans. According to Shiv Mahotsav Samiti who organized the yatra, there were around 2500 people who took part in this spiritual journey.
The Kavad Yatra was started in year 2006 with the intention of pleasing rain god.
