Following the trend of Jagannath Puri a Rath Yatra of similar type will be carried out in Udaipur city on Friday. The preparation for the same is underway and everybody is all set to be a part of the auspicious occasion and seek blessings of Lord Jagdish. The Rath will commence in the morning that will go around in the city.

The Rajat Rath of Lord Jagdish has been decorated like a newly wedded bride and is displayed outside the Jagdish Temple for people so that they can offer their prayers.

The priest of the Jagdish Temple Yogendra informed that on Friday afternoon the devotees will welcome him in the Rath by showering flower petals and garlanding Him. The Rath Yatra will start in the afternoon from Jagdish Chowk and will pass various prominent circles including Ghanta Ghar, Bada Bazar, Mandi Ki Naal, Marshal Choraha, Bhatiyani Chohatta and back to Jagdish Chowk in the evening.

Seeing the sensitivity of the occasion and the huge number of devotees’ participation, the administration has made special arrangements of security so as to maintain law and order in the city, Priest Yogendra said.
