Udaipur, November 2, 2024 - Because of the current health situation in the city owing to seasonal diseases, under the ongoing health campaign Swasthya Dal Aapke Dwaar, a door-to-door survey is being carried out. Nursing students are now joining the 180 teams involved in this work across the city.
Under the Swasthya Dal Aapke Dwaar campaign, teams of ASHA workers, ANMs, and Domestic Breeding Checkers are conducting household surveys. Domestic breeding checkers (DBCs) are public health workers who prevent the spread of mosquito-borne diseases like dengue, chikungunya, and malaria. The number of Domestic Breeding Checkers (DBC) has been increased to 182. Each DBC is surveying 30 households daily and uploading reports on the Marudhara app.
Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Shankar H. Bamnia said that currently, 79 DBCs are deployed in the district to carry out activities like anti-larval measures, anti-adult mosquito measures, focal spraying, and source reduction, with reporting done through the ODK Marudhara app.
