Udaipur, January 9, 2025 - Udaipur city’s Maharana Bhupal (MB) Hospital has introduced a new QR code system to make patient registration easier and more convenient. Patients visiting the hospital can now scan a QR code to generate their own registration slips.
Printout Collection at Hospital
Although slips can be generated online, patients must collect a printout at the hospital. Counter number 10 has been set up for this purpose, which will help avoid long queues and other inconveniences.
How to Use the QR Code?
To use the QR code, patients need to scan it, which will open the website. After entering their mobile number and OTP, patients can fill in their details, including the department, name, and address. Once completed, a receipt with the registration number is generated. The registration number can then be shown at counter number 10 to collect the registration slip.
In addition to the QR code system, the hospital has designated counters for specific groups. Counter number 8 and 9 are reserved for women, men, senior citizens, staff, differently-abled individuals, and RGHS patients.
Previously, patients could only generate registration slips by downloading a mobile app from the Play Store. However, the number of online registrations was low, with only 5-8 patients registering per day. This new QR code system is expected to increase the number of online registrations.
Awareness Campaign
Information about the QR code is being shared at the Rogi Mitra Help Desk to raise awareness. QR codes have been placed in the New OPD building, which sees over 1,000 visitors daily.
The hospital had earlier also introduced QR codes for patients to report cleanliness issues. Patients can scan the codes to report concerns such as unclean washrooms or wards.
