RGHS Scraps Separate Bills for IPD, Daycare Packages
UdaipurTimes, Oct 5, 2026 - Beneficiaries of the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS) will no longer need to submit separate physical bills for selected IPD (In Patient Department) and daycare packages in government hospitals.
According to a directive issued by the government, the package selected on the RGHS portal shall itself form the basis for payment, subject to the applicable RGHS rules, package eligibility and approved package rates. Accordingly, no separate bill shall be required for payment of the selected package amount.
This will provide relief from the additional paperwork related to submitting bills. The removal of the separate-bill requirement is also expected to reduce paperwork in government hospitals in such cases. Third Party Administrators (TPAs) have also been assigned responsibility for claim processing and so, eliminating the requirement for separate bills for selected IPD and daycare packages will remove an additional step from the billing process.
This relaxation will be applicable on all government hospitals empanelled under RGHS with immediate effect, according to the directive.
