A large part of the city witnessed power cuts for nearly 6 hours with high levels of humidity today; the lights were off due to emergency maintenance by the electricity department.

The electricity supplies were cut off from morning 9 to 10:30am and again from afternoon 2 till 5pm.

Areas affected due to power cuts were Sukher, Badgaon, MB hospital, Chitrakut Nagart, Polo ground, Sukhadia Circle, Hazareshwar Colony, Daitya Magri, Moti Magri, UIT, Circuit House, Hathipol road, Chamanpura, Sardarpura, Saheli Nagar, etc.; all these areas relate to the 132 KV G.S.S. Sukher.

The areas related to 132 KV Pratap Nagar that also faced the problem of power cuts were Pratap Nagar, Madri, Sector 4, IT Park, Sunderwas, Khempura etc.
