As the city continues to face parking problems in several places, a group of residents of Bhopalpura and advocates practicing at Udaipur Court got into a fight over parking issue today. The residents blamed advocates for parking in front of their residences while advocates have their own problems.
More than 100 advocates gathered at the backside of the court which has neighboring colony of Bhopalpura “A-Block”.
The issue started when residents of the area installed fences to prevent anyone to park their cars and also appointed a watchman. According to the residents, today a few advocates allegedly broke the fences which led to the fight.
Both groups blamed each other for assaults and stone pelting. The situation was brought under control after police intervention.
A report was given to Bhopalpura Police Station by the Residents of A-Block against the advocates and they also appeared at the Collector’s office to share the matter and demanded strict action.
On the other hand, advocates said that for a past few days, the main gate of the Court has been closed due to construction. That is why they are using the back side of the court and parking their cars in the colony.
