In what started as a complaint against alleged misbehaving and uncouth youth, boiled into a protest by members of a community outside the Surajpol Police station today.

As per the Police, Vijay Kumar Sindhi, a shop owner operating out of Shrinathji Marg, lodeged a complaint against a few youth who allegedly used to come to his shop, pick up goods and never pay.  Whenever Vijay used to ask for money he used to be threatened by the members of the group.

Vijay also reported that this group also harassed school going girls by passing comments while standing at his shop.

One of the members of this uncouth group was identified by Vijay as Mujib s/o Shubhan Hussain, resident of Helawadi.

The Police acted and went to bring Mujib to the Police Station, but residents of the area where Mujib stays, told the Police that he would be brought to the Police station and handed over once his whereabouts were established.  After a while, it came to the knowledge of the Police that a few people were forcing Vijay to take his complaint back and also threatened him of adverse action otherwise.
