People from Jain community of Bhinder, a town near Udaipur were gathered outside collectorate to protest and demanded strict action regarding the alleged theft of two silver idols from 1008 Shani Nath Digamber Jain Temple, Bhinder, a few days ago.

People from Jain community of Bhinder, a town near Udaipur were gathered outside collectorate to protest and demanded strict action regarding the alleged theft of two silver idols from 1008 Shani Nath Digamber Jain Temple, Bhinder, a few days ago.

The community under the banner of Sakal Digamber Jain Samaj presented a memorandum to Hari Prasad Sharma, S. P. Udaipur and notified of mass protest, if police didn’t catch the culprits.

Both the statues of Lord Parshwanath were stolen on 4 Nov., since then the community has protested at the Ravli Pol Chowk, Bhinder and also give a letter to Tehsildar of Bhinder. Following the incident, Bhinder was kept closed on 10 Nov.

The Jain community members put the allegation of theft on some people of the Bhinder town and also allege that the accused have threatened them of dire consequence.
