Couple Warns Suicide if Denied Justice

Alleging harassment and assault from the house owner, a couple expressed their protest by reaching Inspector General of Police T.C. Damor today. They submitted a memorandum stating that they will end their life if no action is taken against the accused.

 

Alleging harassment and assault from the house owner, a couple expressed their protest by reaching Inspector General of Police T.C. Damor today. They submitted a memorandum stating that they will end their life if no action is taken against the accused.

The tenant victim, Sushma Sharma, who is a social worker, claimed that the house owner Nitin Sandlia forcefully entered in their house with his men and thrashed her and her mother-in-law with iron rods, smashed household things and also verbally abused her and forced her to vacate the house.

Soon after the incident which reportedly held on 7th April, Sushma rushed to Goverdhan Vilas Police station with her husband but their FIR has been not lodged yet.

According to the memorandum, the couple even reached a higher police official but he did not act against the accused.

The victim family has given 24 hours ultimatum to police. If no action is taken against the accused, they warned to commit suicide.
