Court instructs Police to lodge Female Social Worker’s complain against BDO
The Udaipur Session Court has today instructed the concerned police station to lodge a First Information Report of Gunwanti Joshi, a social worker who accused three people including a BDO (Block Development Officer) for harassment and proposing illegitimate relationship.

Gunwanti Joshi alleged that Ramswroop Prajapat, Phool Singh Meena and Bhawani Shankar Purohit misbehaved with her on 16th April outside Zila Parishad office and also pushed her to the ground.
Prajapat is a BDO, Girwa and the other two accused also hold senior positions in Panchayat Samiti, Girwa.
Joshi claimed that due to her social service work, she often came into contact with the accused. She has reported that all three accused misbehaved with her on various occasions and demanded to keep them ‘happy’.
The incident hit headlines in the local media when Gunwanti allegedly slapped the BDO outside Zila Parishad on 16th april claiming that the BDO first misbehaved with her.
Joshi also approached the police but her report was not accepted. Subsequently she knocked the doors of the Session Court where the court forwarded istagasa and instructed the concerned police station to lodge her complaint and start investigations against the accused.
