The situation turned little tense today at Tekri, when the members of Dargah committee of Saint Qadar Shah Baba’s mausoleum, put allegations on police for damaging the boundary wall of Dargah.

Seeing the situation getting serious, the matter was resolved after the intervention of senior police officials and community representative.

According to Dargah management committee, there is a boundary wall around dargah which needs renovation and also to be raised to a height to prevent from any stray animal from entering inside the compound. “Today police officials allegedly damaged the boundary wall, though, we are not carrying out any new construction,” said Dargah Sadar Iqbal Mohammad.

Dargah committee had given a written application to police superintendent on 9^th Feb, when they were asked to stop the renovation by police.

After the incident, Deputy Anant Kumar reached on the spot and took the situation under control, Kumar also allowed the Dargah members to renovate the wall.
