In what could be said as the most shocking and horrifying incident that took place in the city of lakes today, a female fetus was found clutched in the jaw of a stray dog, near Swaroop Sagar Lake area.

Today at around 3:30pm, a motorist passing by saw the shocking scene and followed the stray animal till a little distance, where the dog eventually left the fetus and ran away.

The motorist Shyamlal Nagda a petrol pump employee and resident of Sakroda took a piece of cloth, covered the fetus and informed other people. Soon a large crowd gathered at the scene. The fetus was partially mutilated and mauled by the animal. According to police, the fetus was perhaps born dead and 4-5 day old.

Due to the alertness of Nagda, the fetus was saved from becoming food for the stray animal. However, it is a literal shame for every Udaipurite that even after conducting in-numerous awareness camps, appeals and social programs such ruthlessness continues.
