Udaipur Municipal Council has stood a temporary blockade on the road, opposite Fatah School today, after last night’s mishap when a two-wheeler reportedly smacked inside the wrecked and imperceptible pothole.

Last night, two unidentified youth on Scooty had received non-fatal injuries, and were rushed to hospital by few students staying in the nearby Charan Hostel.

The pothole is 10-15ft. deep and about 1 feet broad. According to sources, the hole is connected with a 30 year old sewerage line and due to alleged non-maintenance; the condition of road became fragile and could not bear the load of traffic.

Municipal Council Chairperson, Rajni Dangi visited the spot and inspected the condition. She ordered the technical team of council to repair the road as soon as possible.

The road remained too busy the whole day, motorists faced problems due to the obstruction.
