Supporters of cricketer Ashok Menaria laid mass protest against the allegation that Menaria submitted fake documents to play under-19 cricket. The allegation was put by S. K. Jain, father of former Ranji Player, Nikhil Doru.

Hundreds of supporters made a large human chain and blocked Delhi Gate circle before marching towards collectorate today morning. The group met District Collector Vikas Bhale and handed over a memorandum.

Father of Ashok Menaria, Laxmi Narayan Menaria, President of District Cricket Association Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar and President of Rural Congress Lal Singh Jhala were also present in support of Menaria and denounced the charges made by S. K. Jain.

Laxmi Narayan Menaria said that all charges made by Jain are false and it is a conspiracy to defame Ashok.

He also said, “S. K. Jain also blamed Manoj Choudhary, coach and Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar for helping Menaria to prepare fake documents and to present in BCCI which is not true”.

Laxmi Narayan Menaria said that S. K. Jain has started all this out of jealousy as Nikhil could not get chance to play in Ranji, while Ashok is continuously contributing in National and International cricket.

The group of protestors demanded strict legal action against S. K. Jain.
