Pensioners protest outside MPUAT office

Pensioners of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT) closed the university’s administrative office and protested against the non fulfillment of their demands.

The agitated pensioners forced the employees to vacant the office and locked it from outside. They informed media that they haven’t received their pension from last four months.

Dr. Omkar Singh Rathore, ex dean and pensioner said that around 300 pensioners from MPUAT are going through hard time since they have not received their pension amount despite of several requests, memorandum and protests.

“The pensioners are under pathetic condition, many of them are widows, fourth grade employees and due to this problem, they borrowed money from various sources,” said Rathore.

Dr. Rathore said, if their demands are still unheard, then they will involve working staff as well as students in the protest and will stop all college work.
