Residents of Polo Ground blocked the main road of Saheli Marg-Polo Ground today and demanded quick removal of 4G Network Tower installed overnight by a mobile company.

After hours of protest and heated argument between telecom officials and local residents, Municipal Commissioner Himmat Singh Barhat ordered to remove the tower from the residential area.

According to sources, the local residents reacted angrily after noticing a mobile tower in their area today morning. The matter was informed to Kavita Modi, local area councilor of ward No.3 who reached on the spot and verified the situation.

As per Suresh Shrimali, resident of Polo Ground, “The tower was installed overnight and all the residents of locality objected on it due to the possible harmful rays from the tower which could badly affect the health of residents.”

A group of residents parked their cars to block the road and demanded to remove the tower immediately. The ward councilor Kavita Modi intervene the arguing group and controlled the situation.

Kavita Modi informed, “Municipal Commissioner Himmat Singh Barhat has ordered to remove the tower from the area.”
