Roadways employees of Udaipur demonstrated at Udiapol Bus Stand today against the government’s decision on privatizing State Transport Service. The prolong protest remained unresolved as government has not responded positively.

Holding black flags as a sign of protest, the employees were seen chanting anti-government slogans.

According to Mahesh Upadhyay, regional coordinator of the statewide movement said, “We are protesting from last 37 days and will continue the protest till our demands are not fulfilled.”

Upadhyay said, “On 24^th Aug, we will organize a mass protest where more than 2000 employees of roadways from all over the state will join the protest.”

“All senior level to junior level employees will join hands in the protest,” said Upadhyay.

Rajasthan government has proposed to give RSTC in private hands which faced stern opposition by the employees.
