Following other protesters, today the employees of Zamar Kotra Unit of Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals Ltd came forward with black ribbon tied on their hands to show their agitation against the Government’s decision of privatization of the company.

While talking to UT, Mohammed Haneef, an employee of the unit and one of member of the RSMM Bachao Action committee informed that today on the first day of their 7-day protest, the whole staff had worked with black ribbons tied on their hands to show their discomfort of government’s new decision of dividing the department into 7 different companies under privatization.

The employees are against the privatization of the company as they believe that it will focus only on profit making and will hinder the welfare of the staff, said RS Sankla, member of RSMM Bachao Action committee.

The staff members of the unit had presented a memorandum previously to the MD of the company in the name of CM to consider their demand of NO Privatization.

Mohammad further added that if required, in future the staff members will carry out a rally or call for a strike.
