Political and social groups of the city came together to extend their support to Acid Attack victim Shalu Jain who is sitting on hunger strike outside collectorate from last five days.

The groups including Communist Party and an NGO against women’s exploitation demonstrated and demanded justice for Shalu Jain who is demanding compensation against the tragedy she faced 5 years ago.

Protestors asked administration to take final decision regarding the case, as the victim is on hunger strike and her condition is getting worse every day.

Responding to the request, the collector said, “The final decision is not in the hands of Udaipur administration. The case of victim is already under consideration and it is State Government who has the authority to take the final decision.”
