Drivers of government run emergency medical and rescue service 108 are on strike today as they have not received their monthly salary since last two months.

Declaring strike today, the entire staff of 108 emergency service of Udaipur district has apologized to the citizens and said that they work to fulfill the basic needs of their family, if they don’t get paid timely, their families suffer.

“From today we will be on strike, till we don’t get all our wages”, said the staff in the letter to District Collector.

More than twenty drivers reached collector’s office and put forward their problems.

108 Ambulance services is one of the most commonly used measures in case of any mishaps. Shut down of the service might cause serious problems for the citizens.
