Student Leaders object Rotary Mela Venue

Several protestors led by MLSU students’ leaders flocked to the venue of the annual fair of Rotary Club, known as Rotary Mela that is going to start from tomorrow at Hazari Bagh, Subhash Nagar and insisted organizers to call off the fair, as the land of Hazari Bagh is one of the disputed properties of MLSU.

Several protesters led by MLSU students’ leaders flocked to the venue of the annual fair of Rotary Club, known as Rotary Mela that is going to start from tomorrow at Hazari Bagh, Subhash Nagar and insisted organizers to call off the fair, as the land of Hazari Bagh is one of the disputed properties of MLSU.

Around 50 activists reached the garden today and objected on the upcoming fair, the protestors also tried to ransack the seating arrangements and allegedly, warned fair organizers to discontinue their scheduled program or the protest might turn violent.

Police intervention took the situation under control. Pankaj Borana, Student union leader of university said that the land is under dispute and not registered, hence nobody could utilize the property for any reason.

B. L. Mehta of rotary club first denied stating any comment, but later he said that the rotary club committee will decide and take the final decision over the matter, he also said that the a lot of investment is already been done by the club for the annual fair.
