In a shocking scenario that took place early at 3 AM on 23^rd July, 2012; students of the Government School, Mavli came together in a huge group and protested against R.K. Agrawal, Principal for mentally harassing and punishing them on a regular basis.

According to Police, “There are 1500 students who live in the School Hostel and have alleged that their Principal, R.K. Agrawal harasses them mentally and punishes them, every now and then.  He also used to restrain parents who come to meet their kids, and always forced them to write on a stamp that – they do not have any objection on any punishment that he gives to students in case of indiscipline”.

Police came on the scene early in the morning and sent the students to hostel after a long confrontation with the students.  Early in the morning, parents started dropping-in along with the representatives of Ministry of Human Resource Development.

At 8.30 AM, students started pelting stones on the school building while at the same time representatives of the Ministry and parents were in conversation with School Administration Department.

Assessing the sensitivity of the situation, Divya Mittal, IPS, Mavli; Lal Singh Devda, SDM, Mavli; Nana Lal, CI, Mavli Thana along with Police squad came on the scene and controlled the situation.
