According to Pathan, the protesters are demanding change in the process of selection of the school assistant as due to present requirements 8677 Vidhyarthi Mitra are being excluded from the process and even after giving their services for more than 8 years, they are not getting any benefits.

Out of the total number of excluded Vidhyarthi Mitras, 3500 are those that are above age and 5000 are those who have percentage that are required for selection. In some districts, the contractual workers are more in comparison to the available posts that is ultimately affecting the Vidhyarthi Mitras only as other contractual workers are still working as per Pathan.

At last the protesters demanded the administration to reconsider and to make constructive changes in the process of School Assistant selection so that they can find work.
