The Aadhaar card booth installed at Community Hall of Hiran Magri Sector 11 proved to be a disappointment for the people of the area, who are facing many problems in making their Aadhaar card due to alleged negligence of staff and lack of proper handling mechanism.
Hundreds of people standing in the queue at community centre complained about the services of booth employees and demanded better services to lower their problems.
Sukhdev Singh resident of Sector 14, M. P. colony said, “I came at the booth at 9 am and even after 3 hours my name was not called for making the Aadhaar Card and also noticed that the staff appointed at the booth were busy in their personal works, some of them were having breakfast, few were attending calls on their mobile phones and the people were standing in long queues from several hours”.
According to Rajkumar Rajak, resident of Ram Singh ji ki Bari, “From 8 am I am witnessing that people arrived at the Booth were facing problems as there were no proper arrangement of forms; forms are not managed alphabetically, even the people were not allowed to enter in the booth for the formalities; moreover one out of three machine installed at booth was out of order and the staff is also misbehaving with the people”.
Jyoti Pancholi a home maker from the area also shared her views on the condition of the Aadhaar card booth, “We are coming from last three days to do the formalities of Aadhaar card, but I think here the cards are only made if you are known to the staff or you are their relative, otherwise you have to stand in the line and wait for long. The number of machines and staff are less in compared to the crowd on the booth; the staff is misbehaving with us.”
