Activists of the Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM), BJP’s Youth Wing has given a written complaint at the Bhopalpura Police against Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India for his alleged role in the infamous multi Crore Rupee Coal Scam.
However, no FIR has been lodged against the Prime Minister, but the SHO assured to forward the complaint to senior officials.
Nearly a dozen activists assembled at the Bhopalpura Police Station today morning and started chanting slogans against the government on problems like inflation and scams.
“We believe that somewhere directly or indirectly the PM of India Manmohan Singh is involved in the Coal Scam”, said an activist. The activist told media personnel that “If police will not take any action against the PM then we will take other steps.”
“This is plainly an illogical act. According to law, the FIR is lodged only after initial investigations and moreover the accused should be physically present at the time when the offence has occurred”, said a legal expert.
A police officer on condition of anonymity said, “the alleged Coal Scam did not occur in the Bhopal Pura Police’s jurisdiction, hence the complaint will be transferred to the concerned police station.”
Political specialists states it a gimmick while BJYM seems to too serious regarding their step. The Bhopalpura SHO Madan Gehlot, in the meantime, was not looking too pleased to entertain the protestors.
Gehlot told UT “I took the written complain after they insisted and I assured them to inform our senior officers.”
